What needed to be done?
For their festive in-store displays, Suncorp wanted to do something different. Despite being the hottest time of year, winter-themed displays dominate the market as traditional ideas of the season prevail. Because we’d been working intimately with Suncorp on their recent brand overhaul, it seemed like a great opportunity to showcase the new Suncorp brand while demonstrating their point of difference.
What we did
An Australian themed Christmas display seems like an obvious choice, but in reality it delivers a point of difference far from the usual ‘White Christmas’ approach to marketing. By using Australian plants and animals as well as classic backyard barbeque items, the display becomes more relatable to the average customer. Suncorp is all about connecting with their customers and being genuine, so by reflecting what the Australian experience is really like over the holiday season we were able to demonstrate their understanding of this customer base.
Anecdotally, the Suncorp team told us the display received great customer feedback with many asking if they could buy some of the display items.
