Suncorp – Christmas Stores Activation.
‘Tis always the season to be jolly at Nick Did This
Sure we love all those ‘classic’ Christmas traditions, like candy canes, Christmas trees and Santa Claus. But there are some, like roasting chestnuts, a hot turkey, Christmas jumpers and snowmen that we just physically can’t take part in. So we thought it was about time that we swapped the snow for sand.
What we needed to do
For their in-store displays this festive season Suncorp wanted to do something different. Despite being the hottest time of year, winter-themed displays dominate the market as traditional ideas of the season prevail. Because we’ve been working intimately with Suncorp on their recent brand overhaul, it seemed like a great opportunity to showcase the new Suncorp brand while demonstrating their point of difference.
What we did
An Australian themed Christmas display seems like an obvious choice, but in reality it delivers a point of difference far from the usual ‘White Christmas’ approach to marketing. By using Australian plants and animals as well as classic backyard barbeque items, the display becomes more relatable to the average customer. This time of year is full of rituals and characteristics unique to this country, so using these created an interesting, fun and real festive experience. Suncorp is all about connecting with their customers and being genuine, so by reflecting what the Australian experience is really like over the holiday season we were able to demonstrate their understanding of this customer base.

Being able to create a window display which not only captured the best bits of Australian summer, but showcased who Suncorp are as a brand.
