Monthly Wrap Up – May 2018
Ahhhhhh, May. The weather is getting cooler, the days are getting shorter and more and more Brisbanites are pulling out their favourite Autumn outfit – the t-shirt with scarf. So before we roll into another month and a whole new season we thought we’d take a look at what filled our days this month of May.
The best of the best
We’re very excited to announce that Indooroopilly Shopping Centrehas come on board as one of our clients! Which is good (or bad) news for all the shopping addicts who work here (we’re looking at Nick and Lisa). Our very first job has been to help them create a Best of Brisbane Style & Design Market that showcases some of the best independent fashion designers Brisbane has to offer. Running from the 7-10 June the market is a chance to show that Indooroopilly is a shopping centre that supports and is for all of Brisbane. Plus, we got to come up with lines as ‘Brisbane’ as an afternoon storm and design everything from the promotional poster to the vendor marquees. It’s an event we’d all be excited about even if we hadn’t worked on it!
As good as Gold
Early in May the Gold Coast Turf Club hosted the aptly named Gold Coast Cup. But before it kicked off it needed a poster that would follow in the hoof-steps of our past creative work for the club. As an event that literally had ‘gold’ in the title, we couldn’t resist bringing a little extra bling. The result? A poster that was almost as flashy as the event itself.
There’s no place like home
APIA’s partnership with Five Good Friends is all about giving people the support they need to stay at home longer. But why is ‘home’ so important? We asked a whole bunch of people from 4 to 81 years old what it meant to them, and to most people it was a place they could feel safe and be themselves. No matter how old you are having a place you feel at home is essential. Check out the video, be moved by the power of home and see if you can spot the six Nick Did This team members.
